Day One of 365 Blessed Days

1. My mother's fragile health is good today.
2. My friends get my jokes.
3. I spoke with an adoption attorney yesterday.

This is a link to a youtube video that has beautiful stop-motion photography. And I really love the song.

It was on a blog I was reading called 365 blessings. I'm going to try to list 3 things I am thankful for each day. I need a framework for this blog, and I'm just not creative enough to come up with enough to talk about. (See: last post on Jan 8!)

Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow.

I wish I had a good story to tell when people ask what I did to my back. You know, like, I was shotputting for my team, or I wrenched it while skydiving, or anything besides, "I just bent down and twisted".

I'm icing it. It's helping a little. I'm going back to work again tomorrow. At least that's the plan.

I have to give a giant Thank You to my family and family-in-laws. Not only have they picked up, delivered, and cared for my kiddo, they've let me hang out on their beds, fed me, vaccuumed my house, folded laundry, and the list could go on and on.

No video. I didn't have the patience to wait for it.

back to school...almost

Darnit. I just wrote a witty post, and I saved it, and it's gone.

Ok, well, my back's still hurting, I have a sub in for me at school, and Scott's at work, and Cade's at daycare.

I'm going to the chiro in just a little while.

I swear, the first post was funny...

cleaning with your toes

That's what you do when your back's out. It's better today, but still really twingy. Cade, of course, wants to be held and carried. Thank goodness for Scott. He's let me nap and rest for 2 days now, and that's all that's keeping me going.

Two days left until school starts back, and I'm ready, I guess. I know Cade will be happy to go back to daycare where there are kids to play with. This long break has truly solidified my feelings that Cade needs a sibling.

Ok, parents are coming for dinner and I've got to finish picking up all the toys. How messy of me to leave my Handy Manny and a million Legos strewn all over the floor!

First blog post.

I am in agony today. Yesterday I somehow hurt my back and now I'm hobbling around the house. My husband volunteered to walk on me and if this pain continues, I just might let him. I can't carry my kiddo around; tucking him in tonight induced tears. Yow!

Husband bought a smoker this weekend from Bass Pro, and is aching to use it. Tomorrow: brisket! Which is a big change from what I usually cook: sandwiches!

But if that mayonnaise is spread on with love, it counts, right?
